  2.         CMPQWK Reader 1.1 Upgrade Registration Form
  3.  --------------------------------------------------------------

  5. If you are a registered user of OLX, SLIMER, WinQWK, etc. and 
  6. you register CMPQwk within the first 30 days of 1.1 release (look 
  7. at the *.exe file date if you're not sure) we will upgrade you to 
  8. CMPQwk for $25.
  9.  
  10. You MUST take a few extra steps to prove your legal ownership
  11. of these other mail readers.  Any generally-recognizable
  12. offline mail reader is acceptable for an upgrade.
  13.  
  14.                      Upgrade Procedure
  15.  
  16. 1) Call one of the support BBS systems and send Derek Backus a 
  17.    message in the CMPQwk conference asking him to upgrade you.
  18.    In the message you MUST leave the name and serial number of your
  19.    original mail reader.  You WILL NOT receive a reply until we
  20.    receive your check (item #2).  Since the messages are
  21.    routed to a central hub, please repeat the name of the system
  22.    you called to place the message (The Patchbay or The Dataphile).
  23.  
  24. 2) Mail your check and the completed order form immediately after
  25.    leaving the message.
  26.  
  27. We will mail (or post on the support BBS or other site)
  28. your registration numbers.  Tell Derek which method you prefer.
  29. You will have to call back and check for a post to you if you'd
  30. prefer electronic registration.  Allow four days for a reply
  31. via support BBS.
  32.  
  33. Or, instead of sending the message you can:
  34.  
  35. 2) Remove the original title page of your OLX or other manual 
  36.    and mail it with this form. Your original mail reader's serial 
  37.    number MUST be written on the title page, along with your full 
  38.    name, phone number, address, etc. also on the title page 
  39.    (as well as this form).
  40.  
  41. 3) You MUST include a check for $25 with this form in any case. 
  42.

  44.                     IMPORTANT NOTE:
  45.  
  46. You do NOT need to do both.  Either a message with number OR your 
  47. title page (if your reader has a manual).  You will get a
  48. reply (with registration numbers) as soon as your check clears.
  49.  
  50. If you DO NOT SPECIFY that you want a postcard, you will receive
  51. your registration information as a message posted to you on the
  52. support BBS you called to request an upgrade.  So if you want
  53. a postcard (not a message) BE SURE TO SPECIFY THIS!  Postcards
  54. will be sent out ONLY ON REQUEST.

  62. Note: the term "mail" is used to represent either U.S. and 
  63. foreign mail or E-mail/posting on Internet or a BBS.

  65. If you pay by check, your registration key will be "mailed" to you 
  66. as soon as the check has been processed, which generally amounts 
  67. to about ten working days.  Money orders are usually faster, but 
  68. in any event expect your registration postcard to arrive within 
  69. two to three weeks for orders in the continental United States.  
  70.  
  71. Foreign orders may take from eight to sixteen weeks or more, 
  72. depending on the mail service and mailing method.
  73.  
  74. Upgrades may take longer than "new" orders due to the 
  75. verification process.
